This past week, my nieces and nephew visited for Christmas. It was cold and snowy outside, but inside we had a blast creating these 6 firework art trays. Several of our firework art inspirations were found on Pinterest. These firework art trays are perfect for a fun activity to do with kids for New Years or 4th of July!

Circle Brush Fireworks

I love how this circle brush firework art turned out. It looks like a Monet painting to me. This tray was inspired from the Crafty Morning blog - Kids Fireworks Craft Using a Dish Brush.

Fork Fireworks

My niece enjoyed creating these fabulous fork fireworks. She had fun mixing the colors pink, purple, and white. These fork fireworks were inspired by the Crafty Morning blog - Kids Fireworks Crafts Using a Fork.

Wire Scrub Brush Fireworks

Since the other firework designs, with a fork and dish brush, were so cool, we decided to try painting with a wire scrub brush. This was one of my favorite designs with the circular shape and bursts of color. Little Bee even made his own fireworks on paper and on his hands. 🙂 This is a great art activity for a tot using safe paints (finger paints). 

Pipe Cleaner Fireworks

This pipe cleaner firework art tray was inspired by the Juggling with Kids blog - Firework Painting.  I twisted 6 pipe cleaners together and then flared out the end as shown in the photo above. Every firework that we painted with the pipe cleaners turned out spectacular! 

Pompom Fireworks

We got creative and tried painting fireworks with large pompoms. It's interesting to see the patterns that are created by using unique shapes to paint with. These pompom patterns would look awesome with sparkle paint.

Blow in Straw Fireworks

These interesting "blow in a straw" fireworks were inspired by the Kids Activity Blog - 4th of July: Painting Fireworks with Straw Painting. It was tricky to figure out how to blow the paint out of the end of the straw. We scooped the paint into the end of the straw, held the straw close to the paper, and gave a good blow to create these firework designs. This art activity was a big hit with the tween. 🙂

Finger Paint Fireworks

We will end with a bonus finger paint firework photo, inspired by the kids. 🙂
