This doves of peace roundup is for day 21 in the 25 day series entitled, 25 Hands-On Nativity Lessons for Kids. I wanted to find a hands-on activity that would help children learn about the meaning of Jesus baby dedication to the Lord. Two doves were offered as a sacrifice for the dedication. Doves usually represent peace. The question to ask your children is, "How does this peace offering represent Jesus and His life?"
Read the story of Jesus dedication to your children in Luke 2:21-39
22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;
23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
Luke 2:22-24
